A/N: Double drabble.
The day had dragged past for Dee, with Ryo only speaking to him when absolutely necessary. Okay, so it had been a dumb prank to pull, and he’d allowed it to go on way too long, but did his partner intend to make him keep paying for it indefinitely?
In retrospect, as soon as Ryo had called him that morning, Dee should have yelled “April Fool!” down the phone and told his lover where to find his car; if he could turn back time, he’d do precisely that, but since he didn’t have a time machine…
“How many times do I gotta apologise before ya believe me?” he finally asked. The silence inside the car as he drove Ryo home was stretching his nerves to the breaking point. Ryo wouldn’t even look at him, instead staring out the passenger side window at the passing traffic.
“That’ll depend on whether my car is still where you left it, and undamaged.”
Dee gritted his teeth. He’d wanted Ryo to speak to him, but not in such a cold tone of voice. Still, he took a deep breath before speaking.” And if it is, then will ya forgive me?”
“I’ll think about it.”
