Fic Of The Week - Week One Hundred And Sixty Seven

I'm a bit late this time around, I nearly forgot, but better late than never!

This week we have an 11-parter from December 2011, written for reel_torchwood. While it based on a movie, it is still very much a Torchwood fic, even if it doesn't seem that way at first.

Chocolat - it's good for your serotonin levels is by angstosaur, who is as angsty a writer as their name implies, but that doesn't mean the fic is devoid of fluff. There is plenty of both, in my opinion, and a sweet story into the bargain.

Summary: After losing his memory following a car accident that killed his wife, Ianto sets up a chocolate shop in a remote village with his young daughter. However, he has recurring black outs and then a handsome stranger turns up one day and nothing is ever the same again.

We do seem to have similar fic tastes! Then again, who wouldn't enjoy such a well-written fic? There were so many great fics written for reel_torchwood.

It's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying it, although probably someone who doesn't like fusions. I just had to re-read "The Eternal City" as well since I was there. Another of my favs.

I hadn't read any of my Fic of the Week choices before, which is why I'm reading them now. The Eternal City will have to wait until I've finished the one I'm reading at the moment, which I'm enjoying very much. I only have limited reading time even now, unfortunately.

Oh, I thought they were fics you'd read a long time ago and were re-reading. I get it, I don't read much myself, due to time. So much fic out there, and so little time!

I came online originally to read fanfic, but then the Plot Bunnies started biting and I ended up writing all the time and seldom getting any reading done. Trying to find a balance now because there are so many amazing fics.
