Up in the Tourist Office, Ianto’s phone buzzed discreetly in his pocket. Checking his messages, he found a text from Jack, and frowned. Jack was supposed to be on a conference call with General Sully of UNIT; what was he doing sending Ianto texts? There was only one way to find out; he opened the message.

 
J: Ianto, help!!
 

The phone buzzed again.
 

J: I can’t take much more of this!!!
 

Ianto’s frown deepened as a third text arrived:
 

J: He’s been rambling on for two hours and still hasn’t got to the point of this call!!!!
 

With a shrug, Ianto sent a message back.
 

I: He’s a UNIT General; they’re all a bit long-winded.
 

The response was almost immediate.
 

J: Not like this!!!!! Five more minutes and my brain will be leaking out my ears!!!!!!
 

This was accompanied by a sad face emoji.
 

I: It can’t be that bad.
 

J: He’s telling me about his wife’s prize-winning hamsters and his daughter’s pet petunia!!!!!!
 

J: Or the other way around.

 
J: Please rescue me!!!!!!!

 
The last message was followed by several praying hands emojis.

 
Ianto sighed, thumbs tapping out another text.

 
I: I’ll be right there.
