Summary: Ryo and Dee are making the most of not having to get up early.

A/N: Double drabble.
 


 
Ryo cracked one eye open and peered at the clock on the nightstand, seeing that it was just after eight in the morning. If he’d been on first shift, he would have gotten up an hour and a half ago, but today he didn’t need to get up at all if he didn’t want to. After almost three weeks of twelve-hour plus shifts as part of a taskforce tracking down a kidnapping and extortion ring, he and Dee had the next three days off.

 
They’d been part of the team making the arrests the previous night, and they had every reason to be pleased with themselves. There was still a bit of mopping up to be done, and final reports to be filed, but most of that wasn’t their responsibility; they’d completed the most urgent paperwork before clocking off so they wouldn’t have it hanging over them.

 
Turning over, Ryo snuggled up against his lover’s warmth.
 

“What time’s it?” Dee mumbled, pulling him closer.
 

Ryo sighed contentedly. “Early. Go back to sleep.”
 

“’kay.”
 

Smiling, Ryo closed his eyes again, relaxing. Normally he considered staying in bed half the day to be unforgivably lazy, but once in a while couldn’t hurt.

No, Ryo, every once in a while it doesn't hurt indeed (mine was this past Sunday). Besides, tell yourself you're there for him. If you move and start doing things, Dee's more likely to get up himself, and doesn't he need to rest? ;)
