Summary: While nobody was looking, the Hub has been invaded.

Torchwood existed to deal with other people’s problems, not to suffer problems of their own, but they were human, so in spite of their best efforts, things didn’t always go the way they were supposed to, not even within their own secret base.
 

“We’ve got what?” Jack demanded, hands on hips.
 

“Bats,” Ianto said, frowning. “Don’t ask me how they got in, but there are bats in the archives, and they can’t stay there. We don’t need artefacts liberally coated in bat guano; it’s unhygienic, and it stinks.”

 
“So evict them, or kill them; that’s probably the best way to deal with vermin. Can you get bat traps?”
 

“Jack! Bats are protected, I can’t just kill them! They might have to be captured and relocated, and anyway, I’ve got to find out how they’re getting in and out.”

 
“How d’you plan on doing that? Are you going to follow them when the sun sets?”

 
“In a manner of speaking. Tosh is making some tiny GPS collars. We’ll track them on Mainframe’s Hub schematics, then I can seal up whatever hole they’ve found so they can’t get back in again.”

 
“Sounds like the problem’s sorted.”
 

Ianto sighed. “We can only hope.”
