It wasn’t the first time the Doctor and Amy had wound up running for their lives, and it probably wouldn’t be the last; the Doctor had a habit of running headlong into trouble.
 

“What will they do if they catch us?”
 

“I don’t know, and I don’t particularly want to find out. In here!” The Doctor dragged Amy into a building and along a catwalk above huge bubbling vats. “That gives me an idea!”

 
As their pursuers advanced, brandishing their weapons, the Doctor pulled a lever and doused them in something yellow and sticky.

 
“Custard. Call it their just desserts.”
