Buffy woke before her alarm was due to go off, rolled over in bed, stretched, and then stopped. It was Saturday so there was no school, and last night’s patrol had been such a bust that she’d gotten all her homework finished. Add to that the little detail of her mom being away of one of her occasional buying trips, and…

There was absolutely nothing Buffy needed to do, and she had all day ahead of her to do all the nothing she wanted.

It was unprecedented! A moment that deserved to be marked by a celebration of some kind.

“Yay! I get a me day! Okay, that’s enough celebrating.” Rolling back onto her other side, Buffy wrapped one arm around Mr Gordo and went back to sleep.

When she woke up again, it was noon and she was hungry, so she pulled her robe on over her pyjamas and went to find something to eat. Cereal, juice, and an apple, minimal dishes to rinse and slot into the dishwasher, followed by a leisurely bath with nobody telling her to hurry up…

Sinking into the hot water, Buffy gave a blissful sigh. A day of doing nothing was sheer heaven.

The End

Oh, that does sound like a little slice of Heaven!!!! Especially for those of us who would give our eye teeth to be able to get a bath instead of a shower, or even a shower at their own home!

*HUGS*

If it wasn't for work, I'd be screwed. What do you do to get clean, if you don't mind my asking?

***HUGE HUGS***

I'm sorry you're having to endure also without water, but it does kinda help to know we're not the only ones...

The cold weather is almost a welcome relief after the scorching heat of this Summer. With the metal roof of the storage house, complete lack of insultation for the first several months, and my high blood pressure... Let's just say it wasn't a good mix at ALL. But I'll be praying for you and that it warms up some there. <3 <3 <3

13C/55F, if Google is correct and I'm quite sure it is, doesn't sound too bad, but 6C/42.8F definitely is heater weather! I understand exactly what you mean, though, by meaning unable to get the cold out. We had the same problem with the heat. There were very many days where if not the whole day then at least the mornings certainly were cooler than indoors!
