“You should’ve been there! Really, it’s a pity you weren’t!” The Doctor was bubbling over with enthusiasm as he regaled his companions with tales of his past adventures. “We were just drifting through the void, I don’t remember where we were going, but then… Whoosh!”
Rory paused with his teacup halfway to his mouth. “Whoosh?”
“Exactly! This thing, this mauve and dangerous thing, shot past the TARDIS, and… Did I say it was dangerous? I did? Well, we chased it, all the way back to earth, smack in the middle of World War Two. You’ll never guess what happened next…”
