Summary: He’s a complete stranger, but for some unknown reason, she can’t help trusting him.

A round, smiling face peers jovially from beneath a mop of curly brown hair and a floppy-brimmed hat as a hand is thrust forward.
“Hello there, lovely to meet you. I’m the Doctor.”
It’s impossible not to return the smile despite the circumstances, and the young woman accepts the offered hand, allowing herself to be helped to her feet. She’s not sure what’s going on, but for some reason she feels a lot better now. Safer.
“Thank you. I’m…”
The Doctor cuts her off. “No time for introductions, too many Daleks about. Come along.”
She follows him, without knowing why.
