Summary: Donna meets an alien whose appearance is a bit intimidating.

Evolution on other planets, although it worked basically the same way as on earth, had in most cases started with completely different lifeforms. As a result, while plenty of humanoid races existed, sentient species varied a great deal, according to which of the native species had gained dominance. It could be a lot for the Doctor’s human companions to wrap their heads around.

 
Staring into the beak of the person in front of her, Donna did her best to stay calm. It was wide enough to take her head off with one bite.

 
“Hello, I’m Donna. Nice to meet you.”
