Rabbit Update - The Sequel

So, new update. I just spoke to vetinary nurse Rhiannon, and Misty is out of surgery and awake. They're coaxing him to nibble some food and things are looking reasonably good. He's staying there another night so they can keep a close eye on him, just to be on the safe side, but I'm to phone at 9am tomorrow and hopefully he'll be well enough to come home then. I'll let you know when he's home.

Thank you to everyone for your hugs, good wishes, thoughts and prayers, you've helped me get through two very stressful, worrying days. I'm blessed to have so many great, animal-loving friends, you're the best!

Yay! So glad Misty's had the surgery and is doing better. That's wonderful! I bet you can't wait to bring him home.

I am looking forward to that! I have to phone the vet at 11.30am to see what's happening. It hasn't all been good news, the x-ray they did of his head showed absesses in his jaw - one definite absess and one that could be, as George said, something more sinister. He's getting antibiotics for the sbsess, so we'll just have to see how things go. Keeping my fingers crossed he can at least come home today.

The plot bunnies and pink ferret are dancing around the living room rejoicing at the good news. I was dancing but got a bit dizzy so I'm just sitting down and smiling. Glad things are looking up!

Still not entirely great news, he might have absesses in his jaw, but at least he's had the surgery. I'm phoning the vet later to see if he can come home. Keeping my fingers crossed.
