Summary: Alien invaders can seldom be reasoned with.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Use your intelligence, if you have any,” Jack snapped at the alien invaders through the translator. “Surrender, or turn around and go back where you came from, because if you don’t, you WILL be destroyed.”
“Destroyed?” The leader of the aliens made the whistling sound that passed for laughter among his people. “There are thrice ten of us, while you number a mere five.” Despite the translators being used, his scornful tone came through loud and clear.
“Which should tell you something,” Jack pointed out patiently. “There are only five of us because that’s all we need to deal with you. The fact that you have the greater numbers on your side doesn’t mean a thing. Now, are you going to make this easy on yourselves and go home, or do we have to fight? Which, incidentally, will be a waste of our time and resources, and you’ll lose anyway.”
“We will never surrender! You puny people of earth are no match for our might!”
“We hear that a lot, every few months in fact.” Jack still sounded supremely unworried. “And yet, the earth still hasn’t been conquered, and we’re all still here, doing our job and defending our world.”
