A/N: Double drabble.
It wasn’t that Meriel had never had tantrums, because like all toddlers, she’d gone through the terrible twos, getting upset at things and not yet having the words or the emotional maturity to express herself any other way. Nevertheless, she’d been fairly easy to distract and calm down, unlike the twins.
They would kick up a fuss at the slightest thing. Something they wanted, something they didn’t want, something they didn’t understand, something they didn’t like, something they saw, heard, smelled, felt, tasted, or something they weren’t allowed to touch… Sometimes they’d have a tantrum over something simply existing, or over nothing at all.
They’d scream, kick and flail about, stamp their feet, wail and cry, even roll around on the ground if they could. At home, Nosy and the Flufflets were able to deal with such outbursts, but away from the flat, shopping, running errands, or whatever, it was often one parent trying to cope with two distraught toddlers.
The way Gareth and Jenna were carrying on, Ianto felt sure they would all be kicked out of the supermarket any minute. There was one possible solution. He hummed sternly at them, like a Fluff. Miraculously, the twins went quiet.
