Summary: Owen can’t understand why Tosh would love him.

A/N: Double drabble.
Owen glanced over at Tosh from the corner of his eye. She was working busily at her computers, doing… whatever, and seemed completely involved in her work, which wasn’t surprising. When she was focused on her screens, tapping away at her keyboards, she was in a world of her own, unravelling the mysteries of the universe of something.
She was brilliant, with a rare genius for understanding things that would baffle anyone else. She could look at a piece of alien technology, scan it, even take it apart, and work out what it was for, and how it worked, even instinctively figure out how to fix it if it wasn’t working. A talent like that couldn’t be taught; she must have been born with it. Her IQ was probably off the charts, and that was what puzzled Owen the most about his colleague.
How could anyone so undeniably intelligent, not to mention beautiful, have looked at a tactless, self-centred bastard like himself and fallen in love? It was a mystery. He was selfish, thoughtless, petty, cruel and insensitive, he constantly hurt her feelings, yet her heart was set on him.
She deserved better, so he pretended that he wasn’t interested.
