“Science!” The Doctor waved one hand dismissively. “You people are so far behind the rest of the universe, you barely know what the word means! Now on Gallifrey, science was an artform, with a thousand branches, both theoretical and applied. Humans haven’t even scratched the surface at the most basic level.”
“Wow, you certainly know how to make an entire race of people sound like a bunch of ignorant fools.”
“Compared to most races, you are! Don’t worry; you’ll learn, once you start making contact with more advanced races. You’ll have the basics down in a million years or so.”
