“How’d you like to do that?” Dee nodded at the TV news, where big names from stage and screen were walking the red carpet at the Oscars.
“Do what exactly, be an actor or something?”
“Nah. Be security for one of these big events.” Dee pointed to several men in black suits. “We’d look a damn sight better in those suits than some of the guys they got. Might even get mistaken for big movie stars.”
“In your dreams!” Not that Dee wasn’t easily handsome enough, but still. “You’d hate being a bodyguard, standing around, being ignored by all the big stars, having to deal with crazed fans, groupies, potential stalkers, the paparazzi, and everything that goes with the celebrity business.” Ryo studied the men on the screen. “The suits are pretty sharp though; you’d look amazing. Although, a more colourful shirt would look better. White always makes me think of court.”
“Yeah, not the most stylish choice, but I guess they’re not allowed to outshine the A-listers.”
“Or any of the other guests.”
The news moved on to some local interest stories and Dee looked at his partner. “You never wanted to be famous?”
“I’d far rather be happy.”
The End
