Summary: Ianto’s on the run, but he’s not out of the running.

A/N: Double drabble.




Running from their own government, being hunted down like dogs to keep them from interfering with whatever the Prime Minister was planning to do about their alien visitors… It was insane! Torchwood was supposed to be the earth’s first line of defence against hostile incursions from other worlds, and yet their own people were trying to take them out of the picture!


They already had Jack, or pieces of him anyway, and Ianto had no way of knowing if Gwen and Rhys had managed to evade capture, but he didn’t have time to think about them right now. Jack had to be his first priority because the way things stood he might be the only person on the planet who had a chance of preventing the aliens from doing whatever it was they were planning. If he could even come back from being blown to bits, which was by no means certain.


After everything they’d been through over the past few years, cannibals, the Mara, Abaddon, Cell 114, the time shifts, hell, even John Hart and Jack’s brother, this could be the battle they actually lost.


Ianto wasn’t about to lie down and accept defeat though; he’d go down fighting.
