Summary: Dee is suffering some strange side-effects from his medication.

Dee was dragged out of a deep sleep by the bed shaking and at first he thought it was an earthquake. Not that earthquakes never happened in New York, but most were minor; people seldom felt the tremors. When he managed to wake up enough to be aware of his surroundings he realised the bed was the only thing shaking, and the cause seemed to be Ryo. Dee was immediately concerned. Was his lover sick? Maybe he had a fever and was having a fit of some kind.

 
“Ryo? Babe, are you okay?”

 
“I’m fine.” Ryo wiped tears of laughter from his eyes. “Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you but you were talking in your sleep again.”

 
That was a new phenomenon; the painkillers Dee was taking following a work-related injury were having a strange effect on him. Mostly he just muttered but sometimes he was clearly audible.
 

“What’d I say this time?”
 

Ryo was still chuckling. “It went something like, ‘I’ve got hairy nostrils. They’re going on display at the Metropolitan. Why’s there a cow in my shorts? It’s eaten all the marshmallows. Now the mushrooms have nowhere to sit.’ What were you dreaming about?”

 
“I have no idea.”
