Owen was frowning. “How come they need blankets?”
 

“Mm?” Ianto looked up from his computer. “What’re you talking about?”
 

“The Fluffs.”
 

“What about them?”
 

“They’re like living hot water bottles, right? Whenever we’re cold, they warm us up; bury your hands in their fur and you can feel the heat radiating off them. They’re perfectly fine no matter how cold it gets in the Hub, but when it’s bedtime, or even naptime, we cover them with a blanket. Why? It’s not like they need it to keep warm.”
 

“Human body temperature drops when we sleep, doesn’t it? Maybe Fluffs are the same.”
 

“Maybe. Suppose I could check.”
 

“Even if that’s not the case, why shouldn’t they have blankets? If it makes them feel comfortable and secure, where’s the harm?”

 
“I suppose.”

 
“If you’re already begrudging your Flufflet something that gives it comfort, what are you going to be like when Tosh has the baby? Babies need comfort objects, some adults do too, so why shouldn’t intelligent aliens? Just because their bodies are better insulated against the cold than ours are doesn’t mean they don’t deserve the same comforts we enjoy.”

 
“Okay, fine,” Owen grumbled. “Startin’ to wish I hadn’t asked.”

That is an oldie but a goodie. The pairing is basically held-up in a cabin or other dwelling.
