Janet knew she was attractive, a pretty face, a mane of red hair, and a figure with curves in all the right places. She’d never had any trouble attracting the attention of men, many of her colleagues at the two-seven included, and she’d even dated a few of them, although those relationships never lasted. Maybe her friends were right and it was a bad idea to date fellow cops; their conflicting work schedules did tend to make things difficult, but she spent more time at work than anywhere else, so if she didn’t date the men she worked with, what other opportunities did she have to meet someone?
 

The precinct’s newest detective, Randy Maclean, was seriously cute though. She’d immediately concluded that she wouldn’t kick him out of bed, if she got the chance to get him into bed in the first place, and… Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, so she’d given him directions to the Chief’s office and suggested that he might like to take her out to dinner sometime.
 

He’d smiled at her and seemed to agree, but that had been over a month ago, and he hadn’t said anything since. Should’ve arranged a date that first day.
