It was everything Daniel had been hoping to find, a way to save Sha’re, bring her back to who she’d been before she was taken as host for a Goa’uld. All he’d have to do was find her, which admittedly wouldn’t be easy, capture her, which might prove even more difficult, bring her to Cimmeria, and let Thor’s Hammer do the rest. Okay, yes, the Goa’uld inside her would no doubt put up a fight, but Sha’re was strong, stubborn, and brave. She’d win. She had to.

For the first time since his wife had been abducted, Daniel knew real and tangible hope. Kendra was proof that the host wasn’t destroyed, merely suppressed by the symbiote. She remembered her life from before she was taken over, and she’d been able to influence the symbiote controlling her.

OoOoO

Learning that Teal’c couldn’t leave the labyrinth with his larval Goa’uld intact was a blow. Although he was willing to remain, how could the rest of the team walk away and leave him? Handing over the staff weapon, Jack put their friend’s life in Daniel’s hands. Steeling himself, Daniel did what had to be done.

Even with Thor’s Hammer destroyed, there was still hope.
