Summary: Jack and Ianto are getting ready for the twins’ birthday party.

A/N: Double drabble.
Final preparations for the twins’ fifth birthday party were well underway. The guests would be arriving in less than two hours, but thanks to Ianto’s impressive organisational skills, Jack was sure everything would be ready.
All the decorations had been put up the night before. The two cakes Jack had baked and decorated with Ianto’s help were already in pride of place, along with the cupcakes and fairy cakes and cookies. The trifles were in the fridge, the freezer was stocked with ice cream, the sausage rolls were baking, and the mini pizzas were ready to go in the oven. All that was left for him to do was to cut the bread and make the sandwiches: egg salad, cheese and tomato, ham and cheese…
“How’s the homemade lemonade coming along?” he asked his husband.
“Almost ready. Here, try this and tell me what you think.” Ianto poured a little into a paper cup and Jack tasted it, pulling a face.
“Too sour, needs more sugar.”
“Are you sure that’s wise, more sugar on top of what we’re already serving?” Ianto cast his eyes over the laden table.
“Trust me, a bit more sugar isn’t going to make any difference.”
