A/N: Triple drabble.
Much as he hated it, Dee knew that Bikky had to be Ryo’s top priority in all things, and he’d done his best to accept that, but it still stung at times, especially when it meant Ryo couldn’t spend the night at Dee’s place if Bikky was at home. Even though the boy was a teenager now, until he turned sixteen, leaving him home alone all night would be against the law, and since Ryo was a cop… well, it wouldn’t look good.
Dee could, and did, spend the night at Ryo’s place, as often as his lover would permit it, although again, Ryo didn’t want to disrupt the boy’s life any more than he had too. Ryo also tended to be more reserved in bed when Bikky was asleep in the next room, which was another frustration.
Still, to have Ryo in his life, and in his bed, however infrequently, Dee was willing to put up with whatever he had to. He loved his partner, and even if he and Bikky didn’t exactly see eye to eye, he wanted what was best for the boy as much as Ryo did.
So, following their date and some post-date fun, when Ryo got up and started getting dressed to head home, Dee didn’t try to dissuade him, instead asking if he needed a ride home. Ryo shook his head, leaning over to kiss him, assuring him he’d be fine, it wouldn’t take him long to get home by bus, and if he missed that he’d just flag down a taxi.
Dee still got up too and walked his lover to the door, for one last goodnight kiss, reminding himself that Bikky was growing up fast and would leave home eventually; when he did, then Dee would have Ryo all to himself.
