“I don’t like fog,” Jack growled, skidding to halt and peering around in confusion.
“I can’t imagine why,” Ianto replied, dry as dust. Personally, he quite liked it, when it wasn’t being thoroughly inconvenient. Trying not to lose each other in this was like playing a game of tag combined with hide and seek, but without the fun parts of either game.
“I’m not even sure where we are, never mind where we left the car. How are we supposed to find our way back to it when we can barely see our hands in front of our faces?”
“Track it with your wrist strap. That’s why you had Tosh instal a tracker, isn’t it?”
“Right. Good thinking.”
“That’s what you pay me for. Personally, I’m more worried about the whereabouts of that Weevil we’re supposed to be chasing.”
“If it’s got any sense, it’s already gone to ground in the sewers. It might not be as foggy down there.”
“If that’s the case, we might as well give up and go home ourselves. It’s not as if we’ll ever find it in this.” Ianto waved a gloved hand at the swirling fog.
“I was just thinking the same thing.
