Summary: As the Slayer, Buffy gets hurt a lot.

A/N: Double drabble.
 
 

Buffy was the Slayer, with all the benefits that went along with job: strength, speed, resilience, fast healing, the whole package. It didn’t mean she never got hurt though. Sometimes it seemed as though her life was an endless round of minor injuries, with the occasional more serious one. Nothing that she couldn’t hide from her mom, at least most of the time, but her injuries still caused her pain, still hampered her ability to be effective in her extracurricular activities.

 
Bruises, minor cuts and grazes, strains and sprains… Maybe she should look into a career in sports medicine or physiotherapy so she could treat herself instead of needing outside help for anything a bit more complicated.
 

At least bruises faded fast, so people didn’t see her and automatically assume she was being abused. She could tell the doctors they were wrong, but then what? Tell them the bruises were because she got into a lot of fights? That wouldn’t go down well with anyone.

 
So she carried on as normal, even when her knee hurt from a bad fall, or her shoulder ached from having a demon almost wrench her arm from its socket. That was simply her life.
