With autumn fast approaching there wouldn’t be many more days when the weather was suitable for walks in the countryside, so Jack and Ianto, deciding to make the most of a dry, sunny day, had loaded Nosy in the car and driven out to the Beacons.
 

All three were enjoying themselves when Jack realised Nosy had disappeared.
 

“Nosy?” he shouted. “Where’d you go? Nosy!”
 

“Did your dog run off?” an unfamiliar voice asked, as a woman appeared around a bend in the path, a Golden Retriever trotting obediently at her heels. She didn’t give anyone a chance to reply. “When you find him, you really should keep him on a lead until he’s properly trained, like Sam here.” She gestured to her dog. Sam, sit!” The dog sat. “Roll over!” Sam did so. “Sam, speak!”

 
“Woof.”

 
Drawn by curiosity, Nosy poked its head out of the undergrowth, practically in front of the woman.
 

“HUM!”
 

Sam wagged his tail and sniffed at Nosy. “Woof!”
 

The woman shrieked.
 

Ianto sighed and turned to Jack. “I really hope you remembered to bring some retcon.”
 

While Nosy and Sam romped, Ianto dosed the woman with Retcon in water.
 

“Sunstroke can cause hallucinations,” he explained.
