I wanted to get myself a Chlorite in Quartz crystal as they're supposed to be good for panic attacks (which I've suffered with for many years) so I went looking online to see what I could find, and I found this one...
For some unknown reason, I found it irresistible, so I bought it. I don't know if it will help the panic attacks, but it's certainly brightened my day!

Date: 2012-04-08 07:13 pm (UTC)Way off the subject here......
Do you celebrated Easter in England....duhhhhh!....no idea?
I feel bad because I didn't take Alex to church this morning. He needs to go. I didn't even think beyond trying to survive the days lately. We even forgot about the Easter Bunny who was coming last night! Michael had to run out in the middle of the night and get Alex an Easter basket before Alex woke-up this morning. O_O It was a cheap basket. I was worred, but Alex seemed quite happy with his "bug catcher" just what I want in the house! O_0 He loves it though. He got a cheap stuffed froggy and wined-up toy bug. lol!
I would have had to go out earlier this week and buy a dress if we were going....or some kind of dressy pants and blouse. I don't have anything that fits or is appropriate for church though at Michael's church they don't care what you wear, they won't look down on you, they know God wouldn't. The Baptist church I used to go to when I was in 20's, the women "always" wore dresses to Sunday morning church. Well it is 25 years ago, things could have changed I guess.
I hope you are having a good day. I actually feel kind of crappy right now. I'm not the strongest person in the world and I just feel mentally and physically tired. I feel guilty about Alex and church too. My Dad ask me last night if we were going today in that "Dad" voice. Suddenly I was 12 years old again! I can't seem to shake it. We live in what they call "the Bible Belt"....down south. People seemed to be expected to go here more than other places. I want to, just hope God understands. If it was just me, would be ok, but Alex needs to be there. He is going with his Nana and Papa, Michael's parents, tonight. Oh well, I will stop beating myself up one day.
Why am I talking about this here. Sorry should have emailed you. This is a Jack and Ianto place for us anyway. lol!...but we don't have great icons for our emails. lol!

Date: 2012-04-08 08:04 pm (UTC)We do celebrate Easter here - at least some people do - it's about as commercialised as Christmas here in the UK. Didn't even hear any church bells this morning. It's a long time since I went to church, but I do believe God understands. I don't feel I need to attend church to still believe, especially considering how bigoted some churches have become with regards to homosexuality and gay rights.

Date: 2012-04-08 09:30 pm (UTC)I didn't really grow-up going to ours that much. Long story...my dad went, my mom didn't because of problems she was having, not sure about my brother. I think he went some like me.
Yes I think Christmas and Easter are way over commercialised here too. You should see all the stuff they sell candy, toys, Easter baskets. The best kind are the ones you make up your own, but they are all expensive and on both holidays I think a lot of people forget what the celebrations are really about. It is crazy, running around, spending too much money time!...and shamefully I do it too at Christmas, mainly for the kids though. Santa has to come or it would be lots of sad faces. I just think we could buy a little less and spend more time with each other, if we really wanted to. And YES, having physical and/or mental problems just makes it worse. I actually "dread" Christmas! I get so stressed about getting everything done, money spent, wrapping gifts, etc. It should be a "Fun" time for everyone. I've heard it said that Christmas was for kids. Somehow that makes me sad because it should be for all us too!
Ok, stepping down off soapbox...lol!
Yes, here especially, homosexuality and gay rights are a no-no. I am sure anyone who is born gay and wants to be with their lover feels like they can't go to church or must hide it in fear of ridicule. So sad. :( I mean I thought God loved "everyone"! So stupid. It is the people in the churches that are causing the problems.

Date: 2012-04-08 10:20 pm (UTC)People should be accepted for who they are, but there's still so much prejudice and intolerance in the world and I hate it when people use religion as an excuse to persecute others for any reason. Whatever happened to treating people the way you'd want to be treated yourself?

That is exactly right!!!
Not to preach, lord knows I'm nowhere near perfect...but the Bible does say...
"Do unto others as you would yourself"....I think that is the exact quote?

Date: 2012-04-09 08:00 pm (UTC)Yes I dislike "Christians" who are hypocrites. They go to Church for show rather than because they want to be closer God and visit with other people there.
Oh I hate this time of day. Mid-after noon, why do I always feel so depressed? I had the best time laughing and joking with Michael. I just got home from picking up Alex and school. I just don't feel right + Michael is not here at the moment and Alex has barely said a word to me since we got home. He played that game pad all the way home and is still playing it in the kitchen. I guess I need supper too even though it seems early. I hate being me sometimes.
We also have for the first time since we lived here, cockroaches in our garage! Every night if I go out for something or am doing laundry, there they are! They are "huge" too! They are almost as big as the ones I've seen at the beach! I HATE the stupid things! They run when the light comes on and I stomp my foot, but ewwwwwwwwwwww! I dont' want those nasty, giant things in there! I told Michael we have got to get some traps to put down. I can't take it! It is bad enough during the day to have to deal with whasps getting in. I hate bugs!...my son on the other hand wants to catch one!....little boys.... :/ Oh and I just read that the things can "fly"! I'm terrified! Michael better go with me to get some traps "today"!

Date: 2012-04-10 01:00 am (UTC)Yes we got some traps tonight. I left the light on right now because I have to go back out there and get clothes out of the dryer. YIKES! I hope Michael will put down the traps at least by tomorrow. I am going to beg him if I must! lol! %$#@! things have wings on them! I know I told you. Michael says that doesn't always mean they can fly. They have just been running away when I go out there so far. They are probably more afraid of me than I am of them, but still......... :/
The traps have this stuff in them that roaches like, they take it back to their buddies, they eat it and die. We had to do that with ants a few years back. It really does work. Takes a week or so, but it worked with the ants. We will see. Oh PLeeeeeeeeeeese work.
The ants just gradually got less and less until we saw them no more. This better work with these nasty things too.
Oh I do like ladybugs, I forgot about them and butterflies! So I guess I don't hate all bugs. lol! :)
Hope you are sleeping well. I have got to bathe Alex and get him into bed soon. He is up too late again because Michael wants to watch a favorite TV. show they love, together. I am tired out.

Date: 2012-04-10 09:41 am (UTC)Got some sleep last night, but not enough, so I'm not really with it this morning. The weather's not helping - it's cold and windy and the clouds are piling up. It's supposed to rsin most of the week. Ah well, it's April, we expect showery conditions throughout April, it's traditional.

Date: 2012-04-10 09:55 pm (UTC)Thought I would try to catch you before bed, if not I will try again tomorrow to write early.
We have to meet with Alex's teacher tomorrow around 11:00 a.m. my time, so I am going to try to stay up after he leaves for school. Maybe I can write you then before I shower and get ready to go. Also when we get back. I never want to nap after I have been up that long. My body just won't pass out again. lol!
I'm sorry about your bad weather. I hope your day has not been too bad. We have sun, but it is a little chilly today and the last few days actually.

Date: 2012-04-10 11:12 pm (UTC)Yep, better get the washing done before it gets dark, you don't want to venture out there after dark, that would be too creepy!
Got to take my last pills of the day and get to bed! Goodnight and sweet dreams! *hugs*

Date: 2012-04-10 11:34 pm (UTC)I wish the doctors had more they could give you that would help you sleep; then again if you take something like that, you eventually think you can't sleep without them. I am like that. Not so much as an addiction of the body, but of my mind.
I feel like I should arm myself with a can of roach spray when I go out to the garage at night! lol! It is creepy!
Sleep well!...if you can poor girl. :)
Talk to you later.

Date: 2012-04-11 08:22 pm (UTC)Oh my gosh! You haven't used all your icon spaces?! I have about a million icons on my hard-drive in a folder. I have so many I need about 200 more spaces probably to use all the ones I want to use. lol! I change some out every so often, sometimes put some back. lol! I have a few open spaces on LJ just to make me feel better. Since I don't have a paid account with DW. all I have is 15 icons :( ...but I can't afford to buy both and I was set-up on LJ first so.......well maybe one day I will buy an account here too, just don't want to spend the money. It really isn't that cheap for these places and I really only buy an account because I am a crazy icon girl. What a dumb reason to get a paid account I know. Problem with me is I don't just use Torchwood icons. I have a few other favorite shows/and a movie I love too.
Well I lied! I couldn't stay up and talk to you today, obviously. I slept about an hour last night. We stayed up too late after we put Alex in his bed. We decided to let him sleep the rest of the night and get up an hour early and give him his shower. Well I tried to sleep around 3 am...stupid me!...and knowing I only had 3 hours to sleep, with an appointment this morning with a teacher at Alex's school, I started panicking and had to get back up + Alex woke-up at the same time and I could hear him talking to Michael. Great night! NOT!
I wasn't about to make it to the school appointment because I was too wiped out. Michael went, he was sweet and said I didn't have to go unless I wanted to. So I slept in "again"...feel like crap right now and my day is pretty much shot again.
Michael went to buy stuff at the store to make us tacos to eat tonight. He has class around 5:00 p.m. and I have to work with Alex on his homework. We have not even started it and it is due Friday. We have 2 nights to get it done. We are waiting too late lately. We need to do a little each night starting on Monday or at least Tuesday so we don't have to rush. Alex hates doing it anyway. He knows how! We could be done in 30 minutes at times, but he will stretch it out to an hour pitching a fit, that it is too hard, or he wants to play. I thought Kindergarten was suppose to be easy. lol! Not with our stubborn little guy, he wants what he wants! He is definitely like his father's side of the family! Stubborn! lol!
This is long and rambling. Sorry.
I hope your day has gone well. :)

Date: 2012-04-11 09:09 pm (UTC)Not been a bad day - I haven't felt great, but I've done some beta work (editing a fic for a lovely French lady), haven't had time to read much today though. Just enjoyed NCIS, good episode.
Still trying to decide what to give my sister for her birthday. I bought a bunch of pendants as presents for various friends and relations, but can't decide if they're something my sister would wear. Frustrating. At this rate I'll be sending her money again.
Want to try to read SOMETHING tonight, to unwind.

I hope you can relax and enjoy a fic tonight too and I am glad your day was ok. :)
