A/N: Double drabble.
It was weird, that sort of went without saying because… well, Torchwood. Nevertheless, it was the kind of weird Ianto could absolutely one hundred percent appreciate, and he really wouldn’t have minded if the effects never wore off. Okay, maybe it might be a bit of a nuisance in an emergency situation, but around the Hub? It was bliss.
“Excuse me, please,” Owen said, patiently waiting for Ianto to step aside so he could get past. “Thank you, Ianto.”
“Thank you for my coffee, Ianto!” Gwen said as he picked up her empty mug. “It was perfect.”
“You’re welcome, Gwen.” She’d already thanked him when he’d given it to her, as had the rest of the team, but he wasn’t complaining.
He collected the rest of the mugs, receiving more thanks from his teammates, and an offer from Jack to dry while Ianto washed, an offer he gratefully accepted. Then, when that was finished, he took lunch orders, the whole team politely discussing options and coming to an agreement. No arguments or anything.
If only every day could be that way, everybody getting along, being polite to each other. All it took was Owen accidentally setting off an alien device.
